OSBC Calls for Governor Kasich to Lead on Clean Energy in Columbus Business First

OSBC’s executive director, Mayda Sanchez wrote a letter to the editor published in Columbus Business First, on behalf of sustainable business in Ohio calling for Governor Kasich to lead Ohio towards cleaner energy despite heavy pressure from the coal industry to dial back progress towards renewable energy in Ohio.

The article echoes opposition to a profit guarantee program proposed by AEP and First Energy that makes most Ohio manufacturers, small businesses and residents to bear the cost of subsidizing outdated power plants.  The letter points out the need for strong leadership to move Ohio forward on clean energy technology to create jobs in the new economy.
